De S803N-D40 is een 3-polige, hoogpresterende installatieautomaat met D‑karakteristiek, voorzien van kooiklem en een nominale stroom van 40 A. Het is een stroombegrenzend apparaat met een maximaal afschakelvermogen van 36 kA bij 240/415 V. Toepasbaar voor spanningen tot 400/690 V en ook voor DC. Hij heeft twee verschillende uitschakelmechanismen: de thermische uitschakeling voor overbelastingsbeveiliging en de elektromagnetische uitschakeling voor kortsluitbeveiliging. De S803N-D40 voldoet aan IEC/EN 60898-1 en IEC/EN 60947-2 en is geschikt voor residentiële, commerciële en industriële toepassingen. Dankzij talrijke goedkeuringen is wereldwijd gebruik mogelijk.
